That's a Good One

Last night, after Ryan and I watched The Desolation Smaug, we hunkered down and watched some tv. During one commercial break, we saw one for this product called Osphena and laughed so hard at one of the disclaimers.

As a little background for the product, it's for women who've gone through that later change in life but still want to do the deed. Yeah.

Well, as they were going through the "do not to take when" list, one of the situations was if you were pregnant. Now, if you've gone through menopause, chances are, you're not popping out kids anymore. Right?!

You gotta love the commercials there are on television.

Tell Me I'm Not the Only One

I was venturing through Pinterest the other day and happened across a recipe that called for the biscuits that come in a can. You know the ones? Where you "unwrap" the can and then it pops open. The post also had this picture.

It pretty much sums up how I feel whenever I open a can. I jump. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Maybe one day I'll win.

Top Five Tuesday - Funny Stuff

Sometimes, you just need a minute to laugh. When it's one of those days, or weeks, you want to smile and laugh a little out loud. Here's a list of the top five things that've made me laugh recently.

1. This picture. I literally laughed out loud for like a minute.

2. I write Ryan lunch box love notes most day and last week I gave him a few math jokes. Like this one: "You know what seems odd to me? Numbers that aren't divisible by two."

3. Pretty much anytime Disney can be brought up in a conversation. I especially love browsing the interwebs and finding gems like this:

4. Getting lyrics wrong and having absolutely NO IDEA until years later. Then when you're purusing the top 100 songs from the 90s you realize it's "How Bizarre" not "How Was I" by OMC. Not kidding, I found that out last week.

5. This Kevin Hart skit gets me every time. I wonder if Ryan can relate, since he's only an inch taller.

50 Minutes to Spare?

I was first introduced to Tom Lehrer in college. I believe the song was "New Math," but he's more famous for his "Elements" song. Well, Ryan stumbled upon a full version of his performance in Copenhagen 1967.

We just listened to the whole thing and laughed the whole way through it. It's pretty tongue in cheek for a bit of it but, nonetheless, funny. So, if you know anything about history, have a soft spot for science and math, and/or a want for a smile, check out this...

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

Tonight, the hubbs and I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up a book for his mom. We're meeting them this weekend for dinner and since we have one in the area she asked us to stop by.

Now, there's an elusive wooden "L" that's never stocked. Apparently it's a popular letter. So when we got into the store we had a conversation that went like this:

A: "Oooo, maybe they'll have the "L"."
R: "No, we're not getting an "L"."
A: "Why not?"
R: "Why do you want one?"
A: "Because our last name is LaBarge."
R: "What's that got to do with it?"
A: *mimicking* "What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?"

And then we started laughing and continued to look for the book. We couldn't find it right away so Ryan went one way and I went the other. On my journey I found my "L"! I also found the book. Ryan, of course, not being adept in the layout of Hobby Lobby turned up empty handed. As we were walking to front of the store we had another conversation:

R: "What else do you have there."
A: "The "L" I was talking about."
R: ""L"? I thought you wanted an elf."
A: "What elf?"
R: "The shelf elf thing. That you move around."
A: "The elf on the shelf? No, I mean I do want one. But I wanted to "L" for the door. Did you think I was saying I wanted an elf?"
R. "Yea."
A: *laughing* "I was saying I wanted the "L". Now our earlier conversation makes much more sense."

I mean our last name being LaBarge might have well been a good reason to get an elf on the shelf...but it would take some explaining.
