About Me

Hey! If you're here you probably want to know a little bit more about the voice behind the blog. My name's Allison Rae and I wanted to capture the things I do in my life. I thought this could serve as my record of life and if I happen to inspire other people, well that's just an extra on the ride. However you found your way, I'm glad you're here.

I wear many hats: wife, finance professional, baker, and crafter are just some. I live in the capital district of New York which is about 3 hours north of the city...for any of you who aren't familiar with the geography of  New York. Believe me, there's like eight hours worth of state above and beyond where the majority of our population lives.

I'm in my mid|late-twenties and I've been married to my husband, Ryan (AKA the hubbs, Rye, etc), for three years now. He's truly my best friend. Sometimes it gets a little heated in our household but his laughter and smile always get the best of me. He puts up with a lot and for that I am so grateful. Falling asleep next to him every night and waking up to his snoring face every morning are some of my favorite things.

We don't have any kids or animals yet so we're enjoying the best of one another and what the world has to offer while we're not bending over for school loans. I work as a financial analyst and he's a PhD candidate. In what, you may ask? Of all things, it's math. Yea, he's pretty smart but don't tell that to him because it'll go to his head. But let's be honest, he doesn't even work with numbers anymore, it's all letters. For those of you who don't know this fun fact, after the regular alphabet, they use Greek. THEN they use Hebrew (it may just be "א" - pronounced "aleph" - but they use it). At least I use numbers...

So welcome to my every day. Just remember all posts come from my own opinions and thoughts. All the pictures you see are by me (or the hubbs), unless I write otherwise (or you see my favorite photographer's copyright. That being said, please don't steal my stuff. I'm all for sharing though, so feel free to link to my blog and posts.
